CS2101: Tutorial 2 notes

What makes a good team by google

1. Equal speaking
2. Equal listening -> Psychological safety

Call the person name when speaking
Stop doing what they are speaking.

Clarify with the person to show listening. (Repeat)

- Defining work style

Great team leaders

- Do not command
- Anytime leader
- No title can still leader
- Take initiative to share the idea, do not dominate the conversation
- Look for opportunities to lead

People oriented behaviors

Project leadership 101:
Mistakes:
1) Focus on task, planning all the time
- People dependent
- Team and stakeholders are an asset (Big)
- Mixture

Recommendation
- One on one meeting
- Spend time to understand other people. (Strengths and likes)

2) Not understanding people

Agenda must be precise and achievements to be done

Items must be clear and expectation must be written

1) Discuss new team structure
Plan the roles and the structure.
Proposals 
Write out the expectation of everyone and jobs

Taking minutes/notes

1) Bring notebook/laptop
2) Include people who were there and not
3) Record the time
4) Note anuthing that was done or not done
5) Record a new business
6) Any action items that is agreed, do not transcribe
7) Type out meeting asap and distributed to members
